Frequently asked questions

Where to look when a full row stays, damage seems wrong, or a skill has no effect.

Why is a full row not clearing?

Check for moving or appearing blocks, liquid that is not completely full, Cursed Blocks, hidden Mines, or a No Clear restriction. See Line clear rules.

Why did the blocks above a cleared row stay in place?

Obsidian or Gold Blocks may survive a clear, or a Chess Piece may be activating. A line clear does not always empty the entire row. See Chess and obstacles.

Why is the board changing when I am not placing anything?

Enemy countdowns advance with placements, but fire, liquids, mechanisms, and moving objects continue in real time. Pause if you need the board to stop. See Timing.

Why did a skill consume charge without changing anything?

A charged skill consumes its charge even if it changes nothing. Its target preview shows the affected area, not a guarantee that every cell will change.

Check its charge and whether it targets the board or the queue. Then check for valid objects, blast resistance, transformation immunity, or an object that only the skill’s stronger inner area can affect. See Player skills.

Why are the damage multipliers not all multiplied together?

The game takes the highest applicable special multiplier, such as multi-line, quad, SPIN, or chain, then multiplies by COMBO. Direct damage does not use those clear multipliers. Enemy defenses can reduce damage too. See Damage calculation.

Why do I still get other shapes and materials after installing modules?

Make sure modules are fully inside the active area. The base shape pool, biome, modifiers, and encounter modifiers still contribute. Reserve modules are inactive, and modules without a fixed material still use the material pool. See Builds and piece pools.

Why is a placed module inactive?

A module must fit entirely inside unlocked space. Extending even one cell outside makes the whole module inactive. Locked areas can store modules, and reserve slots do not participate in combat. Expand or rearrange first; see Builds.

Why can I not buy a module when I have enough coins?

A shop purchase also needs an empty reserve slot. Free space on the build board is not a free reserve slot. Move a reserve module onto the board or sell one before buying. Ordinary rewards follow different storage rules; see Shops.

Why did modifiers from the same family stop appearing?

Only one modifier per reward family can be claimed. The first reward offers economic, damage, and reaction options. Later rewards exclude economic options and any damage or reaction family already claimed. See Modifiers.

What happens when the top is blocked?

A failed placement caused by a blocked top clears the upper half of the board and uses one rescue. With no rescues left, the battle is lost. A top warning alone does not use a rescue. See Overflow rescue and survival.

Why does tapping a piece on a touchscreen not select it?

Touch and pen control use dragging. A tap does not keep a piece selected. Use a second finger to rotate while dragging. See Controls.

Why is my save missing on another site, or an old replay unavailable?

Different sites store progress separately; use export and import to transfer it. Replays also depend on version compatibility. See Versions and saves.
